HOT table
Sunday, we missed out big time! Of the two craps tables at our local casino, the crapless table was on fire. Big T and I were barely in the doors, and the news of 3 ATS hits was on everyone's lips. It was exciting! It was great news! But dang, we had just missed it. Everyone was still buzzing, and we hoped the energy would surround the entire craps area. So we found spots on the craps table because everyone wanted in on the hot table. And frankly we didn't want to wait an hour to get a spot at the table. I wish I could report that we made a ton of money on our table, but we didn't. And there were at least 2 more ATS on the crapless table that night...amazing hot table. Big T and I have debated this. Is there such a thing as a hot table? Should we have waited an hour or more just for the chance to catch some of that fever? What would you do?
To set the record straight, Shootergirl wanted to get on the hot table. There was one spot, nowhere close to our desired spot at the table (stick-left 1/2), and Shootergirl suggested one of us grab it and the other wait for another spot to open. I said, let's get our spot at the other table and make it hot. As we are debating it, the one spot fills and we proceed to lose our asses at the other table. We had some decent rolls, but kept losing while waiting for the dice to come back. This casino requires you to have a minimum bet on every roll, so....
Anyway, painful watching the other table hit it 2 more times while we stand there giving our chips away.
I definitely think there is something to attitude and energy at a table. When there are positive people around, things tend to go better. Trying to influence the dice - I hear the negative comments, I feel the negativity. I also hear the encouragement and feel the positive, results seem to go hand in hand. So although I voted "make my own luck elsewhere", I think you still have the factor of "other people" to consider.
